Taming Your Thoughts: In Person

The act of practicing mindfulness in our daily lives can be extremely beneficial in living a healthy and balanced life. In this 4 part series we will focus on.

 Mindfulness and Daily Activities: Mindfulness? Isn’t that just meditating? In this introduction to mindfulness students will learn what mindfulness is, how to stay present in our daily routines, and explore hands-on strategies to move through each day with openness and acceptance.

Mindfulness and Our Environment: Have you ever heard the phrase, “just stop and smell the roses”? In this course we will explore why bringing awareness to our environment and how we exist in it can transform the way we think and feel.

 Mindfulness and Self Compassion: The act of practicing mindfulness in our daily lives can be extremely beneficial in living a healthy and balanced life. To live mindfully is to be present in each moment and to exist without fear or judgement of our own thoughts. How do we do this? Take this course to find out!

Mindfulness and Happiness: How does practicing being mindful relate to our happiness? Happiness is not found in external things, but it is something we create by generating the “right conditions.”  Being present and aware, being mindful, aids in the development of those conditions.  Practicing mindful happiness helps cultivate positive happy emotions while experiencing the benefits of mindfulness as well. The result is the ability to make choices that improve our whole person health. Take this course to find out how mindfulness can be the key to our happiness and good health.
